New changes for 2022
The XC60's T5 and T6 models from 2021 have been replaced by a new B5 and B6 hybrid system powered by 48-volt technology. The Sensus infotainment has also been replaced in favor of a newer Android system managed with a vertical touch screen measuring 9 inches. Your voice can personalize the XC60's on-board software, thanks to an innovative new voice assistant. Navigating around Metairie or Slidell, LA is easier with new Google Maps.
Performance
The B5 base trim is a hybrid that relies on a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's matched with a 48-volt electric motor. The combined output is 247 horsepower. The B6 builds on the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a supercharger, raising the horsepower level to 295. The T8 uses the same engine as the B6, combined with electric motors to reach 400 horsepower or an even more impressive 415 horsepower in the Polestar version.
Range and charging
With the Recharge and Polestar models, you would be operating with a T8 plug-in hybrid configuration with an electric-only range of just 19 miles. You can charge the 2022 Volvo XC60 T8 hybrid in your home. Charging requires about one hour when the temperature is 60 degrees or higher. It takes about three hours when the thermometer goes lower. Due to the time required for charging it's wise to plan any extended travel carefully in advance.
Interior
Both Apple and Android devices can be easily utilized thanks to smartphone compatibility built-in. That gives you simple access to your favorite apps using just your voice on your way to Covington or Hammond, LA. A Wi-Fi hotspot is a popular standard feature you and your passengers will appreciate, and we can say the same for Bluetooth connectivity. New Volvo software allows for personalization and new voice controls are available.

Another system can detect whenever a pedestrian moves into the path ahead, sending progressive alerts so you can stop in time. A special cruise control system assesses the distance between your Volvo XC60 and the car in front of you, adjusting your speed as necessary to keep a safe distance from the car ahead.
