With car manufacturers like Volvo working on the development of self-driving cars, many have been wondering who will accept the blame should accidents occur. Well, as of yesterday it seems likely that the manufacturers will be the ones to shoulder responsibility.
As written in a Car and Driver article published Monday, "[Volvo] CEO Håkan Samuelsson told a small crowd that the automaker would “accept full liability” whenever its cars are involved in accidents—presumably when they’re at fault—and engaged in autonomous mode."
