This morning, we were excited to learn that Kelley Blue Book had chosen the XC90 for its inaugural Best Auto Tech Award, thanks to Volvo's intuitive Sensus infotainment system. The award was presented yesterday, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Judges praised the nine-inch, tablet style interface, which features swipe and pinch interactivity; and an advanced voice recognition system that allows the user to adjust the climate, make calls, and input navigation directions, all hands-free.
“We appreciated the everyday usability of the on-board voice command system in this year’s award winner,” said Micah Muzio, managing editor of video for Kelley Blue Book. “Even better, the Sensus system is issued as standard fare in the 2016 Volvo XC90. This technology was deemed to be a cut above the rest in our testing, earning it the first-ever Kelley Blue Book Best Auto Tech Award.”
