When it comes to wagons, Volvo's heritage is unquestioned, so when the new V90 was unveiled earlier today, we were pretty excited. The latest model in the top-of-the-line 90 series, the V90 is built on Volvo's new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), which also produced the XC90 SUV, and the S90 sedan.
“We have a very strong position in the wagon segment,” said Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive of Volvo Cars. “In many people’s minds we are known as the definitive wagon brand. While the Volvo brand today stands for more than wagons, we are proud to carry forward this rich heritage with the V90.”
With an elegant exterior, and a refined luxurious interior, the new V90 represents a large step forward for the luxury wagon segment.
The V90 will make its auto show debut in Geneva on March 3rd. It is expected to be available for purchase in 2017.
