There's been a lot going on behind the scenes at Volvo for these last several years. Most of it is due to the brand's redesigning of their entire sedan, wagon, and SUV lineup. Of those, the XC90 is the first, with an S90 and V90 on their way in the near future. For now, there's one lingering question on our minds. Does the SUV live up to the hype?

While much attention has been paid to the eye-catching design of the XC90, there are also quite a few ways it beats the competition in the realms of luxury. On the one hand, it's more spacious, and drives with a lot more poise and its German counterparts.
