We've already posted about the Volvo XC90's high end model, Excellence. Is there a way to take the luxury of the Excellence and make it even better? Volvo is constantly innovating, so you bet there is.
The Excellence, compared with other trim levels of the Volvo XC90, replaces the rear bench seat with two captain's seats. The disadvantage is that the Excellence can only seat 4, instead of 5. For those not interested in cramming their back seat full of passengers, though, the Excellence offers premium comfort to those in back.
The Lounge Concept goes one step further than that, and removes the front passenger seat. Now you can only seat 3. The chauffeured rear passenger, in exchange for fewer seats, is granted space to stretch and recline in comfort. The removed seat is replaced with a 17" entertainment screen that doubles as a tray table, with compartments for storing accessories.
