Here at Bergeron Volvo, we love the XC90 for its brilliantly stylish design, luxurious interior, and suite of advance safety and convenience features. Ever since it was first released, it has been turning the heads of critics and consumers, alike. Not only did it receive a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the IIHS, it was also named Motor Trend's 2016 SUV of the Year.
The accolades continue to pile up for the XC90, as we found out yesterday that it has been selected as one of only three finalists for the North American Truck/Utility of the Year. The North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) awards are different from most awards, because instead of being handed out by a single media outlet, they are awarded by a group of 53 independent journalists from the U.S. and Canada. Evaluated factors include innovation, performance and handling, comfort, safety, and overall value.
“The all-new XC90 represents the future of Volvo,” said Lex Kerssemakers, president and CEO, Volvo Cars of North America. “We are grateful that NACTOY judges recognize how significant it is for consumers, the industry, and for us.”
