Special editions and new trim debuts are often the highlight of the Chicago Auto Show, and we here at our Metairie, LA dealership are pleased that this year was no exception. After introducing a special Polestar edition of the V60, this month Volvo is bringing that trim to the 2014 S60.
The sedan version, the Polestar S60 is a family car that also comes with top-of-the-line performance features. Like the wagon version, the S60 Polestar comes with a 3.0-liter, turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 345 horsepower. The rear-biased all-wheel drive system also greatly contributes to this car being more than just your common commuter.
Shock absorbers from ?hlins combined with special-edition Polestar 20-inch wheels also contribute to your driving experience. A set of 14.6-inch ventilated front discs matched with six-piston Brembo calipers give you extremely responsive stopping times.
The exterior of the Polestar edition S60 has been sculpted to be more aerodynamic and sharper looking. Available in either Black Sapphire or Rebel Blue, the sportier version of the sedan looks every bit the part of a high performance sports car.
Unfortunately the Polestar edition is going to be available on a very limited basis here in the States. Only 120 came to US from the Swedish manufacturer, so make sure you don't miss any more news about it.
