At Bergeron Volvo, we are excitingly anticipating the arrival of the Volvo V60 in our showroom after it has experienced such success across the pond. While the United States will get getting an efficient gas-powered model of the vehicle, Europe has a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the vehicle that has been extremely popular and in high demand.

Initially, the Swedish automaker had only planned on building 1,000 units of the plug-in with the thought that most drivers would go for the diesel option or unleaded. However, this not proving to be the case as the brand has already sold out of the V60 plug-in model. To keep up with the PHEV's demand, Volvo plans to increase production to building 10,000 models in 2014 instead of 5,000, which should adequately cover needs.

Considering that V60 PHEW can drive up to 32 miles on electric power alone and race from zero-to-sixty is less than six seconds, it makes sense that vehicle is such a hot commodity. Not to mention that it also fashionable as well as comfortable and contains technology like voice-activated Sensus ConnectedTouch to make even the longest drives entertaining. Like all new Volvo models, the V60 is designed to keep drivers safe with features such as Active High Beam and advanced City Safety system.
