As Volvo continues to move forward with new electric technologies, it still continues to push the forefronts of innovation within the auto industry. The new upcoming version of the Volvo C30 Electric comes with a variety of amenities like a faster charging time and a longer driving range.
We all know that you live busy lives, so we understand that a 8-10 hour charge time may seem like an inconvenience. We're proud to announce that Volvo has given the new C30 Electric, a three-phase supply of power thus reducing its total charge time to a mere 1.5 hours! This also allows the vehicle to get over 100 miles on just a single charge. What's also convenient is that if you're in a rush a 10 minute charge will allow you get over 12 miles of driving.
These changes also include more horsepower for the vehicle. The C30 gets almost 90 kWs, which is about 120 horsepower and over 180 pound-feet of torque. All of this gives the C30 a bit more punch and allows it to hit 40 MPH in under 6 seconds.
Most of these new changes come from a new partnership between Volvo and the electronic manufacturer Siemens. It's just the beginning of a partnership that's expected to produce many more new UVs going forward.
