Swedish automaker Volvo is a constant leader in developing exciting and innovate technologies to bring to their latest models. The latest piece of technology currently in development stages from the brand brings added convenience to drivers in the form of autonomous innovation when it comes to telling the vehicle what to do.

Volvo has taken some of its most unique features such as pedestrian detection and automatic braking and placed them into a V40 prototype model that will go the extra mile by being able to find a parking spot on its own.

This delightful piece of innovation will eliminate one of the largest hassles when it comes to driving. Through the use of a uniquely-designed app for a smartphone, a driver can simply press a button which will instruct the vehicle to find a parking space. Through the use of safety technology and sensors, the vehicle will then park itself. When you're in need of your car again, you just need to summon your car by pressing the button on the app again.

It doesn't get much easier than this! It's like having your own personal valet. At Bergeron Volvo, we can't wait for this technology to arrive in new Volvo models.

This isn't the first autonomous innovation from the Swedish brand. Previous developments such as the SARTRE project, automatic braking and self-steering features found on the upcoming XC90. To see this self-parking technology in action, visit http://www.viddler.com/v/6fcdb805.
