The world's first, this charger dramatically cuts the time needed for juicing up. By how much? Let's just say this. Instead of charging your EV overnight, you could easily do so over your lunch break.
According to the technology gurus at Gizmag, "Volvo's fast charger has the capability to make a marked improvement over what current on-board electric vehicle charging hardware offers."1
Calling on a 400-volt, three-phase power source, the 22-kW device can pack 50 miles worth of power into an auto in a mere .5 hours and provide a complete charge in only an hour and a half. Talk about an electric vehicle game changer...
